It is a response to ideas in quantum mechanics and string theory, which posit the existense of two dimensions of time. Based on the repurcusions of this claim, we would like to construct an experiential model of this proposed planar time. Just as the introduction of perspective to western painting invoked a third dimension of depth in a two-dimensional surface, we hope to invoke this second dimension of time using the temporally unidimensional medium of video. with a bit of sculpture/installation thrown in.
